Volunteer and Service Organizations
- Ann Arbor Community Center
- The Ann Arbor Jaycees,
providing leadership training for young people
(ages 21-39) through community service.
- Ann Arbor Thrift Shop
is a non-profit agency that helps the community
by selling high quality, gently used items to the public and using the proceeds to aid
residents in the Ann Arbor area.
- The Briarwood Rotary Club,
Business and professional leaders who take an active role in the community,
promoting literacy,
providing disaster relief, and addressing other critical community and world issues.
- Michigan District of Kiwanis
- Professional Volunteer Corps (PVC)
is a non-profit singles group (25 and older) who volunteer time to help other local
non-profits with their various projects, as well as provide social activities for members.
- Volunteer Computer Corps
is a non-profit student group dedicated to lending computer expertise to
charitable non-profit groups in the community.
- Washtenaw United Way
provides funding for local health and human services organizations.

- The Huron Valley Community Network
(HVCN). We are a non-profit organization dedicated to being a place
where individuals and community organizations can share information and
ideas.
- The Community Connector
is a great resource for community networks. It is maintained by the
University of Michigan School of Information, which actively promotes
community networking throughout the United States and Canada.
- Michigan Comnet, an online community and
information sharing network for non-profit public service organizations.
- Nonprofit Enterprise at Work
operates the NEW Center, offering an environment where arts and human service
organizations can work collaboratively to enhance their services to the people of Southeastern
Michigan.
