Teachers report for opening day activities, with the afternoon being available for teachers to work in their rooms.
Tuesday 26
1/2 day for students - AM.
Wednesday 27
First full day for students.


SEPTEMBER

Monday 1
No School - Labor Day.
Monday 29
No School for elementary students - Long range planning day.


OCTOBER

Friday 31
End of first marking period for secondary schools.


NOVEMBER

Monday 3
School is closed - Compensation day elementary / records day secondary.
Friday 14
School is closed - Compensation day elementary / records day secondary.
Thursday 27
No school - Thanksgiving Break.
Friday 28
No school - Thanksgiving Break.


DECEMBER

Friday 19
Winter vacation begins at end of the day.


JANUARY

Monday 5
School resumes following winter vacation.
Monday 19
No school - Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Thursday 22
End of first semester. 1/2 day for students in AM - Teachers report all day.
Friday 23
Teachers all day. Teachers finish assignments for the first semester. *

First day of second semester.


FEBRUARY

MARCH

End of third marking period for secondary schools.


APRIL

Spring vacation begins at the end of the day.

School resumes following spring vacation.


MAY

1/2 day of school for elementary students in the PM - Long range planning day for elementary teachers in the AM.
Monday 25
No school - Memorial Day.


JUNE

Thursday 11
End of second semester. 1/2 day for students in the AM - Teachers report all day.
Friday 12
Teachers all day, teachers may leave at 11:30AM, upon completion of their assignments.




Each "Act Of God Day" of the school year which reduces the District's attendance below that required by the state will be made up beginning with the last Thursday afternoon of the regular calendar and each consecutive week day thereafter.

* The full day designated for records at the end of the first semester will remain as a teacher day with the understanding that teachers are free to leave upon fulfilling their end of semester responsibilities.
